Rockstar Alinah!!

Alinah was our rockstar this week and we loved getting to know her!!! Her favorite color is blue and she loves her Lion King book!! The movie she likes best is Spongebob and her favorite sport is basketball! Her favorite animal is a elephant and the song she loves sining is “Let It Go!” We all LOVE that song!! When she grows up she wants to be a vet and if she could go anywhere it would be Disneyworld!! She is a super special kid because she has a big imagination. This week she even shared her favorite toy elephant with us!! You rock Alinah!! Enjoy our video!!

Rock Star Adam!!

Adam was our rockstar of the week!! It was our first student rock star and we LOVED it!! Adam loves showing us his dinosaur robot, his tooth book, and all of his pictures. His favorite colors are red and green! He loves the "Tooth Book" and his favorite movie is Astro Boy! He loves basketball and his favorite animal is a tiger. He loves to eat cheese pizza...YUMMY!! He loves singing Head & Shoulders and wants to be a police officer when he grows up! If he could go anywhere it would be to Florida...to Disney World of course!! He is special because god loves him!! We think you are pretty awesome Adam..you rock!! Enjoy our video!

Happy Birthday Lainey & Jillian!!

On Friday Lainey and Jillian will celebrate their 6th birthday! Since they are lucky girls and have a day off from school we had to celebrate today! We had DOUBLE the fun!! The elf brought some new chair covers and Twinkle even brought a friends so we had TWO elves!! We made a Johnny Appleseed hat for the new elf because he didn't have a birthday hat:) The girls even brought glow stick bracelets and erasers!! We hope you girls having a great Peppa Party!!

American Symbols

We just finished learning about American symbols. We learned all about the Bald Eagle, Liberty Bell, White House, American Flag, and the Statue of Liberty. They are always a favorite!! We also celebrated Constitution Day on September 17th. We read a story called "We the Kids" and made our own constitution. We each signed it and promised to follow the rules of our classroom.

Safety!!

We talked about safety! We learned all about strangers, fire safety (ask your kindergarten kid to stop, drop, and roll:)), emergencies, our address, and crossing the street! Keep practicing your address at home!! Here is our safety video!!

The Greedy Python

We had another parent reader today and we LOVED our story (even though Mrs. Schroeder does not like snakes one bit!) Caroline's mom came in and read us "The Greedy Python" by Eric Carle. We even shared some pretty awesome snake stories!! We hope Caroline and her brother Nolan enjoyed their yummy McDonald's!!!

All About Mrs. Schroeder!!

We will start our rock star of the week very soon!! I took the time to share some pictures of myself and my favorite things with the kindergarten kiddos!! I am in my 9th year of teaching kindergarten...and I LOVE it!!! I have been married to my husband Aaron for 8 years and we have 2 kids and a dog!! My son Jackson is 3 and is all boy!! He loves the dirt, tractors, super heroes.. and many other things!! My daughter Presley just turned 1 and is growing up so quick!! She loves dolls, riding on her car, and her big brother. Our dog Basher was our fist baby...he is 9 years old, but is still full of life!! We recently moved back to our hometown of Syracuse. We are currently building a house. My husband is doing at all, while farming full time so we are a busy crew!!! I love working with these kids every day and we have so much fun. I always wanted to be a teacher and feel so fortunate to come to a job I love SO much every single day. Please enjoy my video of my family and my friends at school!!
