Rock Star Josh!!

Our rock star this week was Josh! He was excited to let us know all about him! He loved talking about his dog Lucy and his great family!! His favorite color is green and his favorite book is There Was a Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow. He loves to watch the movie Despicable Me 2 and his favorite sport is baseball. He enjoys eating hot dogs and his favorite animal is a toss up between a lion and a dog. The song he loves to listen to is We Wish You a Merry Christmas and when he grows up he wants to be a police officer! If he could travel anywhere in the world he would choose Disney World..it is a fun place!! He is a special kid because he his nice and lovely. We would have to agree that Josh is pretty awesome! We love having him in our class! You rock Josh!!

Rock Star Jessica!!!

Our rock star of the week last week was Jessica!! She was so excited to show us her book, pictures, and toy (a stuffed puppy with a cute red bow)!! Her favorite color is purple and her favorite book is Knuffle Bunny Free. The movie she likes best is Pepa Pig. Her favorite sport is swimming and she loves to eat BACON (I do too!!). She loves zebras and the song Jingle Bells. When she grows up she wants to be a teacher (good for you!) If she could go anywhere she would go to Hawaii!! She is a special kid because she is kind and her dad bakes her cookies! We all have to agree that Jessica is very special. She is so photogenic and always has a smile on her face! You rock Jessica!!

Rock Star Jaci!!

Our Rock Star of the week TWO weeks ago was Jaci!! Mrs. Schroeder is getting behind on putting these videos up! My goal is to just get caught up….we will see if that EVER happens!! Thanks for being so patient Jaci! Jaci LOVES the color pink…what girl doesn’t!! Her favorite book is Charlie the ranch dog and her favorite movie is Despicable Me 2. Her favorite sport is volleyball and she loves to eat corn..and soup!! Her favorite animal is a cat and her favorite song is “What Makes You Beautiful.” When she grows up she wants to be a vet and if she could travel anywhere it would be Hawaii (that has been a popular state since Mrs. Schroeder returned…but I will be glad to go visit Hawaii with her!) She is a special kid because she has a great family and is a great friend. She is also full of energy!! Mrs. Schroeder’s Rock Stars would have to agree that Jaci has lots of energy..we LOVE to see her smile!! Jaci was lucky enough to have her mom join her for lunch during her special week. Birthday Girl Lily!!!

We had a very special birthday girl on January 18th!! Lily turned 6 years old!!! I am a little late on getting this up on the blog since I was out of town! I heard that she brought some pretty good cookies to share with her friends...I am super bummed I missed that! She loved getting her goody bag of treats and wearing her birthday crown!  Mrs. Schroeder's Rock Stars hope that Lily had an amazing birthday!!!

Martin Luther King Day!!

We remember MLK, 

Honored on this special day.

He had a dream that we would stand

United together in this land, 

That we would strive to find a way

To live as friends in peace today.

He wanted each of us to see

The beauty of equality.

He taught that right overcomes wrong, 

That hope can turn the weak to strong, 

And showing love instead of hate

Would make our country truly great.

Vacation

Hi everyone!!

As your kindergartener may have told you this week I am going to gone from January 10 until January 20th. I am very lucky to be traveling on a GREAT vacation with my family to Hawaii. However, I am going to miss all of my wonderful students. along with Jackson & Basher. My substitute will be Mrs. Kring. She subbed for Mrs. Woita when she had her baby. I know that Mrs. Kring is going to do great...and who knows the kids may not want me back!! Please remind your kindergarten kid to be extra good listeners while I am away :)

Happy 6th Birthday Easton!!

So......we are a little late for this birthday!! So sorry Easton! Easton turned 6 on December 26th and said he got some really awesome presents. We were SO lucky to have him bring hockey and hunting cookies after our winter break! We sang to him and he got his goody bag of treats! We hope you had a GREAT birthday Easton!!
